About Benjamin Son, DO

Benjamin Son, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician who treats a wide range of conditions in patients at every stage of life. He focuses on treating the whole patient, considering all aspects of their health and wellness. He works to find the causes of health problems so he can treat the underlying condition, not just its symptoms. Dr. Son also has a special interest in helping patients with obesity manage their health concerns.

Dr. Son works with his patients to build trust and invite collaboration. He wants his patients to feel heard and understood. Helping patients through common ailments and challenging conditions keeps him inspired and excited to go to work every day. His overall goal is to help people stay healthy, not just by treating disease, but by staying ahead of it.

Dr. Son’s family inspired his decision to pursue a medical career. His mother was a registered nurse who served patients during mission trips to areas in the midst of hardship. Watching her generosity in action showed Dr. Son what medicine looks like at its most human. He was also inspired by his grandmother, who was one of South Korea’s first female physicians. After growing up around such dedication, Dr. Son believes his decision to become a doctor was less a career choice than a calling he needed to answer.

During his time away from patient care, Dr. Son spends time on the golf course and the pickleball court. He also enjoys a good cup of coffee from shops near home or while traveling around the world.
