Meet Dr. Robert Vasquez
Robert Vasquez, MD, is an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB-GYN) with Methodist Health System who specializes in preventive care, wellness, gynecologic surgery, pregnancy, and childbirth. He focuses on the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of care in addition to the physical. He values the opportunity to care for patients during different phases of their lives and to build relationships with them along the way.
Dr. Vasquez partners with patients to help them feel empowered to make decisions that affect their health. He gives special attention to patients’ concerns, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and respected. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
Dr. Vasquez’s career inspiration came from his pediatrician. He admired the way she cared for him throughout his childhood and wanted to have the same impact on others in his career. Dr. Vasquez also credits growing up among incredible women, including his mother, aunts, cousins, and mentors, for shaping the person and physician he has become. He honors that influence by providing compassionate, attentive, and collaborative care. In addition to offering routine OB-GYN care, he feels privileged to help women through pregnancy and childbirth.
Outside of the office, Dr. Vasquez is an avid gardener and loves listening to and discovering new music. Other hobbies include cooking, baking, painting, and all kinds of crafts. He especially enjoys spending time with his partner, Art, and their two dogs, Diego and Florence.
